Agartala, 29th August 2025: In a bid to double farmers’ income, the state government has rolled out several initiatives, including a new scheme aimed at assisting those impacted by recent floods. The Jolaibari Agriculture department is actively implementing these plans to ensure effective outreach and support.
As part of the initiative, a training and awareness workshop was held in Uttar Hichachhara ADC Village under the Jolaibari Agriculture department. The session focused on educating farmers about the scheme’s benefits, including the restoration of damaged pond embankments and the development of diverse agricultural gardens.
Along with local farmers, the event was attended by Sridam Das, Supervisor of Jolaibari Agriculture department; Tapas Datta, Chairman of Jolaibari Panchayat Samiti; Ashok Mog, BAC Chairman of the block; Joydeb Datta, President of the Agri Standing Committee; and social worker Chethai Mog.
Speaking to the media personnel here, Ashok Mog emphasized the program’s goal of empowering farmers with practical tools and government-backed resources. The workshop reflected strong community engagement and optimism about the scheme’s potential impact.
