Agartala, 19th September 2025:    The state government’s initiative to strengthen healthcare services has taken another step forward with the introduction of a new advanced endoscopy machine at the Super Specialty Block of Agartala Government Medical College and GBP Hospital.

The CV-190 endoscopy system was launched yesterday, September 18, and trials have already begun. On the very first day, 14 patients underwent upper endoscopy, while two patients underwent colonoscopy using the machine.

The CV-190 is equipped with advanced video processing capabilities, enabling doctors to identify diagnostic features with ease and deliver high-quality imaging. The machine can distinguish between blood vessels, mucus, and membranes, making disease detection and diagnosis faster and more accurate.

Until now, GBP Hospital relied on CV-150 and CV-170 models for endoscopic procedures. With the addition of the CV-190, the hospital has significantly upgraded its diagnostic capacity.

Currently valued at over five lakh rupees, the machine is among the few such high-end systems available in the North Eastern region—only five hospitals have similar equipment. With this latest addition, patients in Tripura are expected to receive improved diagnostic services in the days ahead.
