Agartala July 22: “BJP has kicked people in their stomach, snatched away food from their mouth”, PCC president Birajit Sinha slammed the ruling BJP while addressing from the agitation spot in front of Post Office Chowmani Congress Bhavan on Friday.
Demanding withdrawal of the case against All India Congress President Sonia Gandhi and over the questioning by ED in New Delhi, Tripura Pradesh Congress has continued agitation and raised slogans against the Modi led Central Government.
Friday once again a protest program was organized in front of Post Office Chowmani Congress Bhavan under the initiative of Sadar District Committee.
Speaking from the spot of agitation Tripura Pradesh Congress president Birajit Sinha said, “The BJP led government wants to divide the country and society into pieces. Congress is all set to take on the BJP with a strong hand. Congress has taken up “Quit India movement” program that will start from August 9 to oust the BJP from Power and establish rule of law. A march will be organized from Jirania to Ranirbazar. On this day, Congress will campaign in Jirania, Mohanpur and Bishalgarh. Later this movement will be developed in other subdivisions of the state”.
Large number of Congress workers including PCC president Birajit Sinha, AICC secretary Szarita Laitphlang and many other leaders of the opposition Congress took part in the protest demonstration.
