Tripura Gramin Bank celebrates Children’s Day with underprivileged students at Harendra Nagar Tea Estate

Agartala, 14th November 2025:   Marking the occasion of Children’s Day today i.e. 14th November 2025, Tripura Gramin Bank today organized a special outreach programme at the Harendra Nagar Tea Estate in Bamutia. The event, aimed at empowering and encouraging young learners, witnessed the participation of nearly 100 students.

The bank’s delegation was led by senior officials from the Marketing Division and local branches, including Chief Manager (Marketing) Rajeev Nayan, Manager (Marketing) Jeet Bhattacharya, and Branch Manager (Bamutia) Tamal Debnath. They were accompanied by Assistant Managers Bimal Debnath (Durgabari Branch), Ricky Datta, and Nishit Debbarma from the Head Office Marketing Division.

The programme was graced by the presence of local dignitary, former MLA of Bamutia, Krishnadhan Das, who commended the bank’s proactive involvement in community development.

As a part of the initiative, the bank distributed essential educational kits to 100 students. The kits included items such as pens, pencils, notebooks, and drawing kits, aimed at supporting their academic and creative pursuits.

A key highlight of the event was an informative session on the history and significance of Children’s Day. The students were enlightened about the occasion’s objective: to celebrate childhood, promote the rights, education, and welfare of children, and honour the legacy of India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, whose birth anniversary is commemorated as Children’s Day.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Manager Rajeev Nayan & Manager Jeet Bhattacharya emphasized Tripura Gramin Bank’s commitment to its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). “Investing in our children is investing in the future of our nation. Through such initiatives, we aim to light the lamp of knowledge and provide a small impetus to the educational journey of these young minds. We are committed to being more than just a financial institution; we strive to be a partner in the holistic development of the communities we serve,” they stated.

The event concluded on a note of joy and inspiration, with the children expressing their gratitude for the gesture.
