Agartala, 15th November 2025: The Tripura Contractual DWS Pump Operators Association today asserted that attempts were being made to spread confusion regarding its activities and upcoming conference.
Addressing a press conference, association convener Biplab Kumar Kar said the Mazdoor Monitoring Cell has no involvement with the conference scheduled for November 17 at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan here.
Kar alleged that the BJP does not have any independent labour wing in the state and dismissed claims linking either the Mazdoor Monitoring Cell or the Tripura Contractual DWS Pump Operators Association to the Tripura Pump Operators Association’s event.
He further claimed that misleading information was being circulated about a recent meeting held at the BJP state office, Kushavau Bhavan, reportedly under the leadership of Jaharlal De and Kamal. According to him, attempts were also being made to misuse the name of BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya to influence pump operators.
Urging workers not to fall prey to “propaganda,” Kar reiterated that the Labour Monitoring Cell has no connection with the November 17 conference.
Imam Hossain, Gautam Banik, Mithan Dey, Suman Dey and other members of the association were present during the press briefing.
