Three Killed as Agartala–Silchar-Bound Train Collides with Bolero Pickup in Longtarai Valley

Agartala, 20th November 2025:  Three people were tragically killed after an Agartala–Silchar-bound train collided with a goods-laden Bolero pickup vehicle. The accident occurred on Thursday in the Sindhu Kumar Para area under the Longtarai Valley subdivision.

According to local sources, the Bolero was crossing the railway tracks when the speeding train rammed into it. The impact was so severe that the driver and two others in the vehicle died on the spot.

Upon receiving information, police and railway authorities rushed to the location and began rescue operations. The bodies have been sent to Manu Hospital for post-mortem examination.

A pall of grief has descended over the area following the incident. Police have launched an investigation and are also examining whether there were any lapses in safety measures at the railway crossing.
