Five injured in head-on collision on National Highway at Bagma

Agartala, 1st December 2025:     A major road accident took place on the National Highway at Bagma when two passenger vehicles collided head-on, leaving at least five people injured.

According to officials, fire service personnel rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the alert. The injured were rescued and swiftly transported to Gomati District Hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.

Locals reported that one of the vehicles was traveling from Agartala towards Udaipur when it collided with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction. The impact left five passengers seriously hurt.

Residents said they heard a loud crash and rushed to the spot before informing the fire brigade. Locals also pointed out that reckless driving and overspeeding are frequent causes of accidents along this stretch of road.

Authorities have confirmed that the injured are receiving medical care, while further investigation into the incident is underway.
