Agartala, 10th December 2025: A massive fire broke out late last night in Matai Krishnapur under Jagatpur Panchayat of Hrishyamukh assembly constituency, reducing the residence of farmer Sadhan Majumder to ashes.
It is reported that the blaze engulfed the house, destroying all furniture and essential belongings. Firefighters rushed to the spot and managed to bring the flames under control, preventing the fire from spreading to nearby homes.
Preliminary investigations suggest the fire may have originated from an electrical short circuit. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as the family members escaped unharmed. However, Majumder has suffered severe financial losses due to the destruction of his property.
Authorities have launched an inquiry to determine the exact cause of the incident.
