Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary celebrated at Udaipur

Agartala, 12th January 2026:  Udaipur marked Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary with a cultural program at the Rajbari Hall, organized by the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs in collaboration with the Udaipur Municipality.

The event was inaugurated by Maharaj Bhaktisudhananda of the Agartala’s Ramakrishna Math at Viveknagagar, who described Vivekananda as “an ocean of knowledge” and urged people to follow his teachings for a fulfilling life.

Gomati Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Debal Debroy also addressed the gathering, highlighting the relevance of Vivekananda’s ideals. Ajay Dey, Assistant Officer of the Information and Cultural Affairs department, delivered the welcome speech, while Udaipur Municipality Chairperson Shital Chandra Majumdar presided over the program.

The celebration featured floral tributes, cultural performances, a quiz, and competitions in recitation, speeches, and music, with prizes awarded to winners.
