Agartala, 31st January 2026: The Government of Tripura has announced a key administrative reshuffle in the education department following the completion of re-employment tenure of Nripendra Chandra Sharma, Retired TCS officer and Director of Secondary Education.
According to an official notification issued by the General Administration (Personnel & Training) Department, Sharma will relinquish his duties effective January 31, 2026 (afternoon). In his place, Rajib Datta, IAS, who currently serves as Director of Elementary Education and holds additional charge as State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, will assume the role of Director of Secondary Education as well.
The transition aims to ensure continuity and streamlined leadership across Tripura’s education administration. The notification was digitally signed by Jai Datta, Under Secretary to the Government of Tripura, and issued by order of the Governor.
