Ramakrishna Paramahamsa’s birth anniversary observed across state

Agartala, 19th February 2026:    The 191st birth anniversary of Ramakrishna Paramahamsa was celebrated today with devotion and reverence across the state, marked by religious programs and gatherings in temples and ashrams.

From early morning, the day began with mangal arati, chanting of Vedic hymns, and devotional songs at various Ramakrishna ashrams and temples. A spiritual atmosphere prevailed as devotees joined in prayers and rituals.

Special observances were held at different branches of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission, where large numbers of devotees participated in puja, homa-yajna, and prayer meetings throughout the day. Followers recalled the teachings of Ramakrishna, pledging to uphold his ideals of service to humanity and harmony among religions.

At the Ramakrishna Mission in Dhaleswar, Agartala, devotees gathered since morning to offer prayers and pay homage. The presence of worshippers was notable, reflecting the deep reverence for the spiritual leader.

Religious discourses, recitations from the Bhagavad Gita, devotional music, and distribution of prasad were organized at various centers. Speakers highlighted Ramakrishna’s message of universal brotherhood and his emphasis on human welfare.

Organizers stated that the purpose of the celebrations was to inspire peace, harmony, and moral values in society, in keeping with the ideals of the revered saint.
