Agartala, 22nd February 2026: Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath today said that Mann Ki Baat has become a significant platform through which Prime Minister Narendra Modi connects directly with citizens across the nation.
The Power Minister said this after listening to the 131st episode of Mann Ki Baat, the monthly radio address by the Prime Minister, at Booth No. 30 under Mohanpur Mandal at Amgachiya Community Hall.
Minister said that the programme, which marks 131 consecutive months of broadcast on the last Sunday of every month, has become a significant platform through which the Prime Minister connects directly with citizens across the country.
The episode was attended by a large number of local residents, including women and youth, reflecting enthusiastic public participation.The Minister said that PM Modi spoke for nearly half an hour and highlighted several important topics of national interest.
“He spoke about the significance of the Kumbh Mela, describing it not merely as an event but as a living symbol of India’s rich traditions and cultural heritage that keeps the country’s spiritual values alive. The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of sports, particularly cricket, noting that Indian athletes are performing exceptionally well on the global stage. He encouraged greater participation in sports, calling them essential for the physical and mental development of the nation’s youth,” the Minister said.
The Minister informed that PM Modi stressed the importance of financial awareness and security. He advised citizens to regularly update their bank details through e-KYC and to change their passwords from time to time to ensure the safety of their hard-earned money. He reminded people to remain vigilant and proactive in protecting their financial assets.
“Agriculture was another key highlight of the speech. The Prime Minister noted that India has achieved record production of paddy, marking a remarkable transformation from the days when the country depended on rice imports. He credited the dedication and hard work of Indian farmers and encouraged the adoption of innovative and modern agricultural practices to further strengthen the sector,” the Minister said.
The Power Minister also informed that PM Modi spoke about the noble cause of organ donation, urging citizens to come forward and help save lives. He also delivered an inspiring message to students, advising them not to fear examinations but to approach them with confidence and positivity, and to enjoy the learning process without stress.
