Agartala, 11th March 2026:  The Government of Tripura has released Rs 6,23,90,000 under the Mukhyamantri Yuba Yogayog Yojana (MYYY) for the Academic Year 2024–25 to support digital learning among students in government colleges across the state.

The announcement was made by Finance Minister Pranajit Singha Roy during a programme held at the State Secretariat in Agartala. He stated that the initiative reflects the state government’s continued commitment to empowering students through improved facilities and expanded access to digital learning opportunities under the leadership of Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha.

Under the scheme, 12,478 eligible final-year students studying in Government Colleges across Tripura will receive a one-time smartphone grant of ₹5,000 each. The financial assistance is intended to help students purchase smartphones so they can access online learning resources, digital educational platforms, and other academic materials.

Officials said the initiative aims to bridge the digital divide among students and promote technology-enabled education in the state.

The Mukhyamantri Yuba Yogayog Yojana is being implemented by the Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura, which is responsible for identifying eligible students and ensuring smooth disbursement of the grant.

The state government believes that improved access to digital devices will help students enhance their learning experience and broaden their academic and career opportunities.
