Agartala, 11th March 2026: A bomb was thrown at the house of Arjun Debbarma, president of the Tripura Motha party in Jampuijala block, late last night. The incident has caused panic across the local area.

On Wednesday afternoon, upon receiving the news, Snehashish Kumar Dev, a senior official of Jampuijala Subdivision Police, along with OC Mrinal Kanti Reang and Second OC Shantanu Debbarma of Jampuijala Police Station, rushed to Arjun Debbarma’s residence to investigate.

The house is located near Jampuijala market. Political observers note that bomb and firearm incidents have been rising in the region ahead of the ADC elections. Some political circles speculate that ruling and allied parties may increasingly clash over control of the hills.

In this particular incident, BJP workers have been accused of being involved. Tensions remain high in the Jampuijala subdivision, though police and administration are actively working to resolve the situation and maintain law and order.
