Agartala, 21st March 2026: Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today said that a workshop has been organized to ensure that no genuine voter is left out, and discussions were held on how to cooperate when the SIR process begins.

Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha said this while participating in an organizational function at Bhagat Singh Yuva Awas in Agartala today.

Dr. Saha said that the SIR process has started across India.  “It has already been completed in many places. Meanwhile, this process is still pending in some other states, including Tripura. It can begin here at any time. However, preparatory activities for this process are underway. Officials are working on it. Once the notification is officially issued, the process will accelerate further. However, revisions are a regular practice, and the Election Commission carries them out,” said Dr. Saha.

The Chief Minister said that this is one of the processes to ensure that no genuine voter is left out of the electoral roll, so that eligible voters can exercise their right to vote.

“A workshop has been organized today to discuss what support we can provide when this process begins in Tripura, and what our party should do to ensure that no genuine voter is left out. Bharatiya Janata Party workers from various levels, starting from the state leadership, are present at this workshop,” he added.

Tarun Chugh, All India General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party; Vinod Sonkar, former Member of Parliament; MP and State President Rajib Bhattacharya; and others were present.
