Agartala, 31st March 2026: The 2,625th birth anniversary of Lord Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara, was observed with devotion and reverence on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. The celebrations were organized under the initiative of the Mahavir Religious Trust, featuring a series of religious programs.
From early morning, devotees thronged the Jain temple near Agartala Town Hall. Special prayers, rituals, and religious discourses were held in the temple premises. Followers reflected on the teachings of Lord Mahavira, particularly his message of non-violence and righteous living.
Organizers emphasized the importance of spreading the values of peace, tolerance, and humanity during the day’s events. Devotees marked the occasion through worship and prayer, reinforcing the timeless relevance of Mahavira’s ideals.
