Agartala, 24th April 2026: Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr Manik Saha on Friday emphasized organizational preparedness and development planning during a meeting with party workers in his own mandal ahead of the upcoming Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) elections.
Addressing Bardowali mandal and district-level leaders, Dr. Saha said the focus of the discussion was on strengthening grassroots coordination and formulating a clear strategy for the forthcoming AMC and Nagar Panchayat elections.
He noted that since the area falls under AMC jurisdiction, special attention is being given to ensure effective planning and execution at the local level.
“There is a lot of work. I visit here from time to time. Today, I have come to my own mandal. The mandal president, district president, and district workers are present. We have held discussions on how we can move forward. With the upcoming AMC and Nagar Panchayat elections, we have discussed how to make proper plans and proceed effectively,” he said.
The Chief Minister also interacted with party workers and local residents, exchanging greetings and reviewing ongoing activities within the mandal. He stressed the importance of being fully prepared for the elections while simultaneously assessing development work in the region.
Dr. Saha added that discussions were held on identifying pending works in AMC areas and exploring ways to accelerate their completion. He said inputs are being collected directly from field-level workers to better understand ground realities and improve implementation efficiency.
The visit highlights the party’s early groundwork and focus on both political strategy and development delivery ahead of the civic polls.
