Ex-officials of MoRD visit TRIPTI intervention area at Ambassa; interact with women SHGs

Agartala, 10th May 2026 :   Former Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India, Shri Charanjit Singh, along with former Joint Secretary Smt. Nita Kejriwal, visited the Project TRIPTI intervention area under the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) at Ambassa RD Block in Dhalai district today.

The delegation was accorded a warm welcome by the Executive Committee members of Swapner Siri Cluster Level Federation (CLF). During the interaction session, the office bearers highlighted the progress, achievements, and successful implementation of the TRIPTI programme across their cluster area. They also shared experiences on how women Self-Help Group (SHG) members are actively contributing towards sustainable livelihood generation, social empowerment, and grassroots development.

The visiting delegation interacted closely with community cadres and beneficiaries to understand the impact of the programme at the field level. Discussions focused on livelihood enhancement initiatives, skill development activities, and strengthening community institutions under TRLM.

Earlier on May 8, the delegation visited various project sites in Tripura to review the implementation of Project TRIPTI and TR Say initiatives. The visit emphasized the importance of collaborative and community-driven approaches in ensuring inclusive and sustainable development opportunities for vulnerable rural communities across the state.
