Joint inspection of welfare institutions in West Tripura

Agartala, 13th May 2026:   A joint inspection and review visit of Government-run Child Care Institutions (CCIs), Old Age Home, and Sakhi-One Stop Centre at Narsingarh, West Tripura was conducted today under the chairmanship of Biswajit Shil, Sabhadhipati, Paschim Tripura Zila Parishad.

Officials from multiple departments including Social Welfare & Social Education, Education, Forest, Agriculture, RD Block Administration, and District Child Protection Unit participated in the visit. The team reviewed infrastructure, record maintenance, welfare services, and the overall functioning of the institutions to ensure proper care, protection, and support for the beneficiaries.

During the visit, the delegation interacted with officials and staff of the institutions. Emphasis was laid on coordinated efforts to strengthen child protection mechanisms and enhance social welfare services across the district.

This inspection is seen as part of the administration’s ongoing initiative to improve the quality of services in welfare institutions and ensure accountability in their functioning.
