Agartala, 15th May 2026: A two-day mega education fair aimed at guiding students towards quality higher education and career opportunities will begin on Saturday at the Parkline Hotel in Agartala. The event, organized by ‘Edu Hub’ in association with Markline Consultancy, will remain open from 3 PM to 9 PM on both days.
The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Agartala Press Club on Friday. Representatives from several reputed educational institutions attended the briefing, including Rupam Roy, Proprietor of Markline Consultancy; mentor Ranjan Barua; Deepak Singh of Pimpri Chinchwad University; Dr. Ranjit Singh of Desh Bhagat University; Niladri Das, Director of NIELIT Agartala; and Sohli Singh of Marwadi University.
According to the organizers, nearly 22 reputed universities and educational institutions from across the country are participating in the fair. A series of special scholarship schemes for students from the North-East have also been announced alongside the event.
Markline Consultancy has decided to sponsor three students locally as part of the initiative. In a major announcement, Pimpri Chinchwad University will provide 100 per cent tuition fee waivers to 18 meritorious students from the eight North-Eastern states and Jammu & Kashmir. Eligible students can avail the benefit either through a special entrance examination or by securing a CGPA of 8.0 in previous academic examinations. Students scoring 70 per cent marks will also be eligible for a 30 per cent scholarship.
Desh Bhagat University has introduced special educational opportunities for 10 female students under its “Shakti Scheme”.
Speaking on the occasion, Niladri Das said that NIELIT Agartala is focusing on expanding technical education and employment-oriented training. He informed that the institution is offering completely free educational opportunities for SC and ST students.
The organizers stated that such education fairs and scholarship initiatives would help bridge the gap between students in Tripura and national-level educational institutions while also promoting skill development and career awareness among the youth. Students aspiring for higher education have been urged to take advantage of the opportunity.
