Three held in anti-drugs operations from Goala Basti

Agartala, 20th  May 2026: As part of an ongoing drive against the growing drug problem in the state, police conducted a targeted anti-narcotics operation today in the Goala Basti area. The raid was carried out by personnel from NCC Police Station.

Based on confidential intelligence inputs, a substantial police force launched coordinated searches across multiple suspected locations in the area. The operation lasted for several hours and covered various parts of Goala Basti.

During the raid, officials claimed to have recovered a considerable quantity of suspected narcotic substances, including drug tablets, cannabis, and other questionable materials.

Three individuals were taken into custody on suspicion of being involved in illegal drug trafficking activities. They were subsequently brought to the police station for questioning.

Authorities have indicated that similar enforcement actions will continue in the future as part of sustained efforts to combat drug-related crimes in the region.
