Agartala, 28th May 2026: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed MLA Abhishek Debroy as the new president of its Tripura state unit, marking a significant organizational reshuffle in the party.
The announcement was made through an official notification issued on May 28, 2026, by BJP National General Secretary and Headquarters In-charge Arun Singh.
According to the notification, the appointment received the approval of BJP National President Nitin Nabin and has taken effect immediately.
Abhishek Debroy, currently serving as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), is expected to spearhead the party’s organizational activities in Tripura and strengthen its grassroots presence ahead of upcoming political engagements in the state.
