Agartala, 4th June 2026: In the spirit of social service and environmental awareness, the State Engineers Association, Tripura (Dharmanagar PWD Complex branch) organized a special program on Thursday at the Dharmanagar PWD Office Complex. The initiative, held ahead of World Environment Day, combined a voluntary blood donation camp with a tree plantation drive.
The event was formally inaugurated by Dharmanagar MLA Jahar Chakraborty. Among the distinguished attendees were Divyajyoti Nath, President of the North Tripura District Committee of the State Engineers Association, along with conveners of the Dharmanagar Complex Committee and other notable personalities.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from donors. Organizers reported that around 20 to 25 individuals voluntarily registered to donate blood. Speakers highlighted that such small acts of generosity can play a crucial role in saving the lives of critically ill patients.
To spread awareness about ecological balance, saplings of various species were planted across the complex premises. The plantation drive underscored the urgent need for environmental protection and sustainable living.
Addressing the gathering, speakers emphasized the dual importance of blood donation and tree plantation. They noted that while blood donation directly saves lives, tree plantation ensures a healthier environment for future generations.
This combined initiative of humanitarian and environmental service received widespread appreciation from guests and the general public alike.
