Agartala, 27th June 2026: To observe International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, an awareness program was held at Champarai SB School in Chakmapara under Ganganagar RD Block, Dhalai District. The initiative was jointly organized by the SBI Sanjeevani MMU (Clinic on Wheels) and the Ramky Foundation.
The event witnessed the participation of over 150 individuals, including students, parents, teachers, local villagers, and project staff. During the session, the project team elaborated on the harmful effects of drugs, tobacco, and alcohol. Project Coordinator Sauramita Deb and Dr. Lipi Das emphasized the physical, mental, social, and economic consequences of addiction.
Parents and children were advised on ways to resist drug use, the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle, and the collective responsibility of building a drug-free society through awareness.
The program received an encouraging response from the attendees and proved to be a significant step in strengthening anti-drug consciousness within the community.
