Agartala, 4th July 2026: An important meeting of government employees and pensioners was held this evening at Ker Chowmuhani, Agartala, under the joint initiative of Ward No. 17 and 7-Ramnagar Mandal. The programme was attended by 7-Ramnagar Mandal President Amitabha Bhattacharjee, Local Corporator Shikha Banerjee, Acting Chairman of Tripura Road Transport Corporation Samar Roy, along with several social workers and mandal leaders.
Addressing the gathering, Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Mayor Dipak Majumder highlighted the achievements of the Corporation over the last four and a half years. He stated, “The AMC has taken significant steps in infrastructure development, cleanliness, and enhancing civic amenities. These efforts have transformed Agartala into a more livable city, and we remain committed to further improving the quality of life for our citizens.”
The Mayor also emphasized the importance of dialogue with employees and pensioners, noting that their insights help the Corporation understand the pressing issues faced by common citizens. “Open discussions like these allow us to identify problems quickly and work towards effective solutions. The cooperation of government employees and pensioners strengthens our mission of serving the people better,” Majumder added.
The meeting concluded with an interactive session where participants shared concerns regarding civic challenges, and suggestions were noted for speedy resolution.
