Agartala, 14th July 2026 : A man identified as Uttam Nama was brutally murdered at his residence in Kathalia Bhadrabari, under Jatrapur Police Station limits.
According to preliminary information, miscreants attacked him with sharp weapons, hacking him indiscriminately before locking the house from outside and fleeing the scene. The incident came to light around 9 a.m. today when Jatrapur Police Station received the report. Police immediately rushed to the spot and began investigation.
Sources said the deceased is survived by two sons—Utpal Nama (25) and Chayan Nama (22). Their whereabouts during the incident, along with other possible links to the crime, are now under police scrutiny.
Investigating officers are probing the motive and identifying those responsible for the killing. The gruesome incident has sparked tension and shock in the locality. Police stated that the exact cause and details of the murder will be revealed once the investigation is complete.
