Agartala, 24th August 2026 :The West Agartala Police on Sunday returned 26 lost mobile phones to their rightful owners following successful investigations.
Speaking to the media, SDPO Pannalal Sen said that details of the mobile phones reported missing over the past one-and-a-half months had been registered through Cyber Investigation Reports (CIRs). Following police investigation and cyber-tracking efforts, several of the missing phones were successfully traced and recovered. After verifying the identities of the rightful owners, the devices were handed back to them.
Meanwhile, additional police personnel have been deployed at several important points across the city as part of heightened security measures. CCTV surveillance has also been strengthened, while special patrolling arrangements have been put in place to maintain law and order.
The owners expressed their gratitude to the West Agartala Police after receiving their lost mobile phones. The initiative by the police has been appreciated by the public and has sent a positive message about the department’s efforts to assist citizens.
