Agartala, 9th September 2026 : Tripura Transport, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Wednesday chaired an important review meeting at the State Secretariat to assess the progress of various high-priority projects being implemented under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme.
The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Public Works Department (PWD), Transport Department, Rural Development Department, Tourism Department and Water Resources Department.
The discussions focused primarily on the implementation status of several priority projects approved for the Transport Department under the SASCI scheme. The Minister reviewed the progress of the ongoing works and took stock of the extent to which the projects had advanced.
Minister Chowdhury directed the concerned officials to ensure timely implementation of the approved projects while maintaining the required quality standards. He also stressed the need for close coordination among the departments concerned to expedite the execution of the projects.
The review meeting was aimed at ensuring effective utilisation of the funds sanctioned under the capital investment assistance scheme and accelerating infrastructure development in the state.
