Agartala, 22nd September 2026 : Tripura Gramin Bank has advised its customers to complete essential branch-dependent banking transactions by September 25 in view of the proposed three-day nationwide bank strike scheduled from September 28 to 30.
The bank said normal functioning at some branches may be affected during the strike period, depending on the extent of participation. Customers have therefore been urged to plan their banking requirements in advance to avoid inconvenience.
According to the bank, necessary preparatory measures are being taken to ensure continuity of essential banking services and minimise disruption. Particular emphasis is being placed on adequate cash availability at ATMs, cash replenishment and uninterrupted access to Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, digital payment facilities, ATMs, Cash Deposit Machines (CDMs) and other alternate banking channels.
The bank has encouraged customers to make greater use of digital and alternate banking facilities for routine transactions during the strike period. Those whose banking requirements necessarily involve a branch visit have been advised to complete such transactions well in advance.
Tripura Gramin Bank also appealed to customers not to panic or postpone urgent financial requirements until the strike period. Customers have been advised to meet their cash requirements and complete important branch-related work before the proposed strike.
In an appeal, the Chairman of Tripura Gramin Bank said customers remain at the centre of the bank’s operations and urged them to complete essential branch-dependent transactions by September 25 wherever necessary.
The Chairman said the bank was taking all possible measures to maintain essential banking services and ensure the availability of alternate channels during the strike. He also sought the cooperation of customers and reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to serving the people of Tripura.
