Agartala, 5th October 2026 : The Resident Doctors’ Association (RDA) of Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GBP Hospital on Monday, October 5, officially withdrew its strike following the resolution of a recent dispute.
The protest had been launched after a video went viral on September 30, allegedly carrying what the RDA described as baseless allegations of professional misconduct against a doctor on duty.
Following discussions with the hospital administration and concerned authorities on Monday, the RDA decided to call off its protest.
The association said the discussions resulted in a successful resolution of the issue and reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining patient care and ensuring uninterrupted public health services.
The RDA also reiterated that the welfare of patients and service to the public would remain its top priority.
With the withdrawal of the strike, resident doctors are expected to resume their duties fully and continue providing medical services at AGMC and GBP Hospital.
