In a voice message, Pradyot said, “I received so much of loves, respect from my tiprasa people. If needed I will go for hunger strike till my last breath for my people. I can’t betray my people. I am waiting and if government failed to provide interlocutor till tomorrow I will go for fast unto death. I want to do something for my tiprasa people. I love them.  Pressures are mounted on me and also ready to die for you people”.

Earlier, Debbarma said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be announcing the name of the interlocutor on March 27 who will study and examine TIPRA Motha’s demand for a ‘constitutional solution’ to the issues and problems of Tripura’s 14 lakh tribals.

On March 23 he also met Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma hours after the centre assured the appointment of an interlocutor over his party’s demand for the “constitutional solution” for the indigenous people of Tripura.

“In a follow-up to yesterday’s conversation with the home minister regarding the appointment of an interlocutor I met Shri @himantabiswa last evening and he will be issuing a statement in the same regard. We are interested in a honorable constitutional solution to the problem of our indigenous people of Tripura and hope that this process starts as promised within the next few days” he tweeted this morning.
