Assam Rifles seized cannabis worth Rs 2 crore at Kumarghat

Agartala, April 19, 2023: Radhanagar Battalion of Agartala Sector, Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), seized 500 kg of cannabis worth Rs 2 crore from an area under Kumarghat police station on Thursday.   

Based on the credible information, a joint operation was launched by Radhanagar Battalion and Kumarghat police station. The team seized 500 kg of cannabis worth Rs 2 crore.

The seized contents were handed over to Kumarghat police station on Thursday for further investigation & legal proceedings.Assam Rifles highlighted it’s commitment towards drug free society.
