Agartala: June 23. The husband is accused of killing his wife by injecting and pressing her with a pillow due to incest and illicit relations. After about 10 months of the incident, a case has been lodged with local police station. The incident took place at Lakshmi Charan Para adjacent to Mungiakami bazar under Mungiakami police station in Teliamura subdivision.
It is learned that Vidyapati Debbarma is married to Biswajit Debbarma who lives in Lakshmi Charan Para. Allegedly, Vidyapati’s husband Biswajit had an illicit relationship with a woman under Mungiakami police station area. Since then Biswajit’s wife Vidyapati started physical and mental abuse. On the night of August 09 last year, VidyaPati’s husband Biswajit allegedly killed his wife by lethal injection and later by pressing her with a pillow.
At that time, the relatives of the deceased Vidyapati were able to notice the marks on her neck. The relatives of the deceased’s family raised a complaint after seeing the dead body of Vidyapati. But for some unknown reason, a case was not filed in the police station. Even the body was cremated without taking it to the hospital for post-mortem examination. Even the son did not get a chance to see his mother.
Meanwhile, a few months after the death of his wife, Biswajit Debbarma married another woman. When the relatives of the deceased Vidyapati’s family came to know about this news, a case of killing her was filed on June 05 with the Khowai District Police Officer. The registered case from Khowai District Police Office was sent to Mungiakami Police Station. Mungiakami police received the case on June 20. The case is registered under sections 302, 305 & 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
According to the written application, the police have taken up the case of murder and have already started the investigation.
