Ulto Rath Yatra Tragedy: Left Front delegation visits Kumarghat, meets officials

Agartala: June 30. In a quest for a comprehensive understanding of the tragic incident that unfolded during the Ulto Ratha Yatra, a delegation from the Left Front embarked on a visit to Kumarghat on Friday. The team, comprising esteemed members such as Politburo member Manik Sarkar, Left Front convener Narayan Kar, former minister Tapan Chakraborty, and several others, arrived in Kumarghat with a determination to gather firsthand information about the unfortunate event.

Upon reaching Kumarghat, the delegation swiftly made their way to the accident site located at Block Chowmuhani. Sensitively attuned to the gravity of the situation, they engaged in earnest conversations with the locals present, seeking their eyewitness accounts and learning about the sequence of events that led to the mishap. The interactions aimed to glean crucial insights into the incident and its repercussions, ensuring a thorough understanding of the circumstances.

Driven by their commitment to comprehending the incident from multiple perspectives, the delegation expediently proceeded to the Kumarghat police station. There, they engaged in fruitful discussions with the concerned officials, delving into the finer details of the case and inquiring about the progress of the ongoing investigation. By engaging with the authorities, the Left Front representatives aimed to gather updates and assess the measures taken to address the aftermath of the tragedy.

Continuing their quest for knowledge, the delegation then directed their attention to the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) office in Kumarghat. Holding discussions with the officials at the power distribution company, the Left Front members sought to understand any potential connections between the incident and the electrical infrastructure in the area. By collaborating with the TSECL, they aimed to shed light on the aspects that could have contributed to the tragedy, ensuring a comprehensive analysis.

Later, the Left Front delegation met the families of the deceased and expressed their condolences and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
