Agartala, August 11: ALOHA- Abacus Learning of Higher Arithmetic showcased its prowess on the global stage by hosting an International Competition on July 30, 2023, at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Center in Malaysia. The event witnessed the participation of children aged between 4 and 14 from diverse nations, all engaging in the challenge of solving 70 Arithmetic Sums in 5 minutes across various levels encompassing Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Square Root, and Decimal operations.
ALOHA Abacus & Mental Arithmetic Tripura, a division of Rising Child Group, represented India with 10 participants amongst the international contingent of approximately 700 young minds. Enthusiastic participants arrived from countries such as India, Malaysia, China, Mexico, Bangladesh, Croatia, Panama, Cambodia, Canada, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Taiwan, Venezuela, Ecuador, and the Philippines. While more than 40 countries were invited, representatives from 15 countries, including Uzbekistan, Cambodia, Mexico, and the Philippines, took part in the event. Embassy officials from these countries graced the occasion with their presence.
The awards ceremony unfolded in a spectacular display of cultural diversity, as each country presented performances showcasing their heritage. Miss Lucianna Tripura delivered a captivating Tripuri dance, encapsulating the essence of Tripura’s culture and legacy.
In an astounding display of talent, six out of the ten Tripura participants secured the coveted title of Grand Champion, while one emerged as the Champion, two clinched 1st Runner-up positions, and another achieved 3rd Runner-up status. The stellar performance of Tripura’s children shone brilliantly among their peers from 15 nations.
The Deputy High Commissioner of India in Malaysia, Subashini Narayanan, expressed appreciation for ALOHA’s initiative in Tripura and the remarkable feat accomplished by Indian participants. The office of the High Commission of India in Malaysia witnessed a meeting between ALOHA representatives and the Deputy High Commissioner on July 31, further solidifying the recognition of this extraordinary achievement on the global arithmetic stage.
