In his address, Sen emphasized the profound significance of the ‘Mere Mitti Mere Desh’ initiative, envisioned by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He highlighted the program’s potential to honor countless unsung patriots who have selflessly sacrificed for the nation. Sen acknowledged that history often only recognizes a select few, leaving the contributions of many patriots hidden or forgotten.

Sen underscored that the collective soil from diverse corners of the nation, brought together to form a garden in Delhi, would serve as a testament to the sacrifices made during the freedom struggle, including those from North Tripura. This endeavor would ensure the recognition of numerous unsung heroes who laid down their lives for the country. Sen anticipated that this initiative would not only enrich India’s historical narrative but also educate international visitors about the nation’s vibrant history.
