The operation, led by the Sub-Divisional Forest Officer and Churaibari Beat Officer, marks the latest effort in the department’s ongoing campaign against dishonest timber traders. In a coordinated effort, forest department officials descended upon the East Phulbari area, targeting properties suspected to be involved in illegal wood processing. The raid led them to the residences of Abdul Jabbar and Mansoor Ali, where the illegal wood machines were found. The Sub-Divisional Forest Officer, speaking about the operation, emphasized the department’s commitment to preserving the region’s precious forests and curbing illegal activities within its purview. He stated, “Our primary goal is to protect our forests from illicit logging and timber trade.
