NSUI Protests Imposition of English Language for Madhyamik, HS Exams

Date:

BY TC News Desk

Agartala: September 06. The National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) staged a protest today by submitting a deputation to the Director of the Education Department in Agartala. The organization vehemently opposes the recent move by the state government to bring 88 schools under the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) through the Vidya Jyoti scheme.

The controversy arises from the mandate that students appearing for Madhyamik and Higher Madhyamik examinations this year must take the tests in either English or Hindi, as per CBSE rules. Leaders of the NSUI argue that this abrupt transition to English-language examinations is unfair to the students who have traditionally taken these crucial exams in Bengali. The NSUI contends that such a change places an undue burden on these students and could negatively impact their academic performance.
