Agartala, September 14: Jolaibari BJP mandal president Ajay Riang conducted several programs on Thursday to mark the Martyr’s Day and the victory of the BJP nominated candidate in the by-elections in Dhanpur and Boxanagar assembly constituencies. He was accompanied by the leaders and workers of BJP and IPFT, who jointly organized the events.
Martyr’s Day was observed in Thakurchhara area of Jolaibari assembly constituency to pay tribute to Gouranga Sen, the left opposition leader who was killed by CPIM terrorists in 1984. A floral tribute was paid to the martyr and a rally was taken out to condemn the violence and atrocities of the leftists.
A victory procession was also organized at Kwaifang Bazaar to celebrate the success of the BJP candidate in the recent by-elections. The procession was attended by a large number of BJP and IPFT supporters, who expressed their happiness and confidence in the leadership of Ajay Riang.
Ajay Riang, who has been instrumental in freeing Jolaibari from the rule of the leftists, said that he was working for the overall development and strengthening of the organization of Jolaibari assembly constituency. He thanked the people for their support and trust in the BJP and IPFT alliance. He also praised the central government’s schemes and initiatives for the welfare of the people.
Yuva Morcha mandal president Keshab Chowdhury, IPFT leader Shyamal Debbarma, BJP leader Prasenjit Debbarma, and others were also present in the programs. They also spoke about the achievements and goals of the BJP and IPFT alliance and urged the people to join hands for a prosperous and peaceful Jolaibari.
