Har Ghar Tiranga

Date:

“Har Ghar Tiranga- Let’s fly the Indian Tricolour in every house”, is the clarion call given by our Prime Minister to celebrate the 75th year of our Independence as the finale to Azadi ka Amrit Mahoutsav.

This is the first time in the history of our independent nation that the Independence Day on 15th August will scale new heights, with crores of flags in every nook and corner of the country. A celebration hitherto unseen anywhere in the world. Shifting from only Government programmes on this day to a Peoples program “ By the people , for the people and of the people”.

The Tiranga is a symbol of Sacrifice ( saffron) reminding the nation of the sacrifices of our freedom fighters who freed us from colonial rule and of the sacrifices of our brave soldiers that are guarding our borders night and day and also of those who laid down their lives in the battlefield to keep us safe and strong.

Our Nation is a peace loving country the colour white at the centre, denotes this fact. Bharat from the ancient times believed and our Rishis propagated the mantra of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” the world is one family. The covid pandemic has shown this reality, the globe had to face this unitedly and our PM went a step ahead by providing vaccines to numerous countries . A bold step which showed the world, that we Indians act on what we believe.

The Dharma Chakra or Wheel of Dharma adapted in our national flag from the Asoka Pillar, thus embodies the Dharmic way of life .Right thoughts and right action . This Wheel of Dharma that will take us on our path to prosperity, both materially and spiritually. The Color Green – denotes prosperity.
“ Sujalam Suphalam,
Malayaja shitalam,
Sashya Shyamalam Mataram
Vande Mataram”

“Watered by the numerous great rivers,
To produce abundance,
Cooled by by the soft breezes
From the the great mountains,
Filled with dark green fields,
Salutation to the great Motherland”
(Translated by me may not be correct word for word but in spirit .)

Hence our National Flag stands for what we really are both culturally and spiritually, it is also what we want to become as a Nation – strong and prosperous and it is also about what we should achieve as a Nation – to show the world; the way to peaceful co- existence.

What else do we need but the Tiranga to remind us that India must regain her status of Vishwaguru , through sacrifice, peace , dharma and prosperity. A Punaha Nirman ( a Rebuilding) of this Nation under the courageous leadership of our Prime Minister,

So let’s all take part in the Har Ghar Tiranga and proudly fly the National Tricolour from 13 th August to 15 th Aug. 2022 to make history and be a part of history in the making.
