Agartala, October 16, 2023: In a heartwarming gesture to celebrate Autumn Durga Puja, Majlishpur MLA and State Tourism Minister, Sushanta Chowdhury, has extended the festive spirit to the residents of his constituency. Continuing his tradition of distributing clothing to the women of his assembly constituency, he recently organized a special event.
At Agnibina Hall, Jirania, sarees and pacharas were generously distributed to 235 women from Booth No. 33/34/35/40 and 41. Following this, another distribution ceremony took place at Daspara, Jirania, where 403 sarees and 20 pacharas were handed out to the women of Booth No. 36/37/39 and 42.
Minister Sushanta Chowdhury has pledged to carry on with various social service initiatives to bring smiles to the faces of the women in his constituency. A few days prior, in anticipation of Sharadotsav, he initiated the distribution of high-quality Jamdani sarees to financially disadvantaged women from various booths within his 10-Majlishpur Assembly Constituency.
Speaking at the saree distribution ceremony, Minister Sushanta Chowdhury emphasized his unwavering commitment to the well-being of his constituents. This initiative is a personal endeavor to ensure that women in his assembly constituency can enjoy the festive season with new sarees, fostering the spirit of Sharodotsav. He expressed his dedication to continue serving the people in a similar manner in the future.
