Agartala, 2nd January 2023: A group of disgruntled TET exam cleared aspirants from the 2022 batch staged a protest on Tuesday in front of the Chief Minister’s residence, seeking urgent attention to their demands for official appointment letters and immediate recruitment. The group, consisting of 361 individuals who successfully passed the TET exam, claims to face traditional barriers hindering their entry into the teaching profession.

Despite repeated attempts, the TET passers have been unable to secure a meeting with the Chief Minister to address their concerns. In their latest effort, the protesters gathered outside the Chief Minister’s residence on Tuesday, only to be forcefully removed by the police due to the absence of prior permission, citing security concerns.

They argued that their demand for official appointment letters has been ignored, and they express frustration at the lack of progress in their pursuit of teaching positions. The group emphasizes that a significant teacher shortage exists in various government schools across the state, and their qualifications make them well-suited to fill these vacancies.

“We have successfully passed the TET exam and are ready to contribute to the education system, but the delay in official appointments is hindering our progress,” stated one of the protesters.
