Agartala, 25th January 2024 :  A man named Sanjay Ghosh was killed by his younger brother Ranjit Ghosh, in a fit of rage over a family dispute in Colony area of Ambassa on Wednesday night. The police arrested the accused and booked him for murder.

According to the police, Sanjay Ghosh used to come home drunk every day and abuse his family members with obscene language. This led to frequent quarrels between him and his brother. On Wednesday night, the situation turned violent and Ranjit Ghosh hit Sanjay Ghosh on the head with a piece of wood, killing him on the spot.

The police were informed about the incident around 11 pm and reached the scene. They also called the firemen to take the body to the hospital. However, the firemen arrived after three hours and allegedly refused to take the body, saying that it was too late.

The locals protested and forced the firemen to take the body to the Dhalai District Hospital, where it was kept in the mortuary. The locals also claimed that Sanjay Ghosh could have been saved if the firemen had come on time.
