Agartala, August 25, 2022: The ward number 39 of Agartala Municipal Corporation will be organizing ‘Puja Parikrama’ with 76 clubs on the southern part of capital city during the ensuing Durga Puja festival.

Speaking to reporters here, Councillor of Ward number 39 Alak Roy said “For the first time, the Ward number 39 of AMC is organizing ‘Puja Parikrama’ 2022 where in seven categories, clubs will be judged by a panel of judges and will be awarded on October 12 next at the office premises of the Ward itself.”

“The awards will be given away by Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder, ONGC Asset Manager Tarun Mallik and others.  It is seen that when the city is widening, the low-budget pujas in the suburbs of the city are gradually getting vanished. To get a good hold on the rural culture, talents, etc., this initiative has been taken,” he added.
