Agartala, April 22: A dead body of 56-year-old Shibu Das was found at Mollapara area of Bhati Abhoynagar here. Das, known to work as helper for mason, had not been engaged in any work activities for the past three months, according to sources close to the deceased.
Das, reportedly prone to bouts of intoxication, was found in an unconscious state by his son upon returning home from work on Monday morning. The son, who had left Das in the company of his daughter and wife, promptly alerted neighbors and rushed Das to GB Hospital for urgent medical attention.
Tragically, despite efforts to revive him, doctors at GB Hospital pronounced Das dead upon arrival. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding Das’s demise are ongoing, as authorities seek to unravel the mystery behind the sudden and untimely death of the worker.
