Woman Voter Suffers Head Injury at Polling Station in Kumarghat

Agartala, 26th April 2024 :   In a distressing turn of events at Booth No. 10 of the Kumarghat SDO, PWD office, a woman voter endured a severe head injury while waiting to cast her ballot, alongside another woman who was also harmed. Chamili Dey, a local resident hailing from the Kumarghat Shiv Tali area, found herself in the midst of chaos as she stood patiently in the queue, eager to exercise her democratic right.

Tragically, the serene atmosphere of civic duty was shattered as Dey sustained a grievous head injury. Maya Pal, another woman present in the vicinity, also suffered injuries in the incident. Immediate action was taken to address the situation, with the injured swiftly transported to the Kumarghat sub-district hospital for urgent medical attention.
