Agartala, 6th July 2024: In a heartbreaking incident, a night guard was fatally injured after being crushed by the wheels of a car near a petrol pump in Ranirbazar. The victim has been identified as Jaharlal Das (65) was working at the BK petrol pump when the tragic event took place.
Family members, alerted by the pump manager that Jaharlal had fainted, rushed to the scene only to find him in a severely injured state. They immediately shifted him to GB Hospital, but upon arrival, doctors declared him dead.
Jaharlal had been employed at the petrol pump for the past two years, dutifully fulfilling his role as a night guard. His son deeply grieved recounted the sequence of events and the devastating loss of his father.
The police have arrested the driver responsible for the incident. Further investigations are underway to determine the exact circumstances that led to this tragic accident.
