Over 60K youth to get opportunity in police recruitment : Yogi

Date:

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said that more than 60,000 youth will get an opportunity in the police recruitment to be held in the state.

In the police recruitment, 20 percent of daughters will also be appointed, he said

On the occasion of the inauguration of the district level mega employment and loan fair organised at Dev Indravati Degree College in Katehari, the CM said that the police recruitment process will begin in the state from August 23 to 25 and on August 30 and 31 in which the youth of every district will get an opportunity to participate in this completely transparent recruitment process.

He said that 20 percent of daughters will also be appointed in the police recruitment, who will come out on the streets of the state and deal with the hooligans properly. Warning the criminals, mafia and anarchic elements, Yogi said that no one will be allowed to play with the future of the youth.

The Chief Minister said, “The time has gone, when the uncle-nephew gang used to go out to extort money in the state. Now whoever does this, his property will be confiscated and distributed among the needy. No dishonest person, criminal or element promoting anarchy will be spared in the state.”

A total of 2,500 youths were given certificates, tablets were distributed to 5,100 students and loans worth Rs 211 crore were distributed during the event.

Yogi said that he saw the stalls set up by 46 companies in the employment fair, the working of women volunteers and the efforts of entrepreneurs. “It is satisfying to see that Ambedkar Nagar, once notorious for criminal and anarchic elements including mafia, has changed its image today. New industries are coming here, youth are getting employment opportunities,” he said.

The CM said, “Today our Ambedkar Nagar is no less in any sense. Ambedkar Nagar is not only a witness to the transformation journey of Ayodhya Dham but is also getting benefits. Purvanchal and Gorakhpur link expressways are also passing through Ambedkar Nagar. Here we are also building an industrial corridor and will also build industrial townships on the sides of both expressways. This will provide employment opportunities to the youth in their district itself.”

Yogi said that in the biggest investor summit held in February 2023, investment proposals worth Rs 40 lakh crore were received, which is a guarantee of employment opportunities to 1.35 crore youth of the state.

He said, “Investment proposals worth Rs 6000 crore have also been received in Ambedkar Nagar through the Investor Summit, which are coming to fruition. 46 companies are participating in the current programme which will employ 21,000 youth of the district and are committed to their placement.”

The CM said that all the banks have come here through which people aspiring for self-employment will be provided the opportunity of interest-free loan of various government schemes including ODOP, PM Vishwakarma for setting up medium, micro and small industries. “This will increase employment generation opportunities,” he said.

Yogi said that there was a time when we could not even get proper books. “Today, our government has arranged for tabs and smartphones for 2 crore youth. There is also a PM and CM apprenticeship scheme to make these youth technically competent,” he said.

The CM said, “Seven years ago, UP was considered the dark spot of the country, a barrier in India’s development journey, the same UP is now taking the country forward as a growth engine as a bright spot. UP has taken forward the vision of development by PM Modi by sitting on the driving seat.”

He said that the state which had riots, anarchy, crime, has now become a dream destination, a model of law and order and the state giving the most government jobs. “When we gave respect to the energy of the youth, UP has increased its contribution to India’s GDP and has come to the second position.”

Yogi said that 6-7 years ago, the people of UP were looked at with suspicion, but today people look at you with respect. He said that to give wings to the aspirations and dreams of the youth, the Prime Minister has taken forward the Employment Mission.

He said, “It is the strong will of our government that we are providing facilities like free electricity connection to 1.56 crore families, health insurance to 5.11 crore, free ration to 15 crore. The country is now looking at UP with hopeful eyes. We all have to make efforts together. The government is always committed to providing security and self-reliance.”

The CM said that Ambedkar Nagar will not lag behind in the direction of development. “When I came here last time, a stadium was approved for Katehari. Now the land has also been approved. If the youth plays, he will win and if he wins, he will increase the honor of the country. Our government has given due respect to the players who won medals. Hockey player Lalit Upadhyay and athlete Parul Chaudhary have been made Deputy SP,” he said.

Yogi said, “I wish all the people of the district a happy Rakshabandhan in advance. On this occasion, all the sisters and daughters will get the facility of free travel in the buses of the Transport Corporation.”
