Agartala, 25th September 2024: A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday around 1:30 PM in the Tila Chandan Majumdar area of Belonia, where a laborer lost his life due to electrocution while performing masonry work. The victim, identified as Subrata Karmakar, was reportedly tying the rods of a house’s pillar when he came into contact with an electric wire.
Witnesses to the incident quickly alerted local firefighters, who promptly arrived at the scene and transported Karmakar and three injured individuals to Bilonia Hospital. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of medical staff, Karmakar was declared dead upon arrival.
The incident has cast a shadow of grief over the community, with family members of the deceased rushing to the hospital upon hearing the news. They were left in shock and mourning after learning about Karmakar’s tragic death.
