Bishalgarh District Congress holds ‘Sanghati Padayatra’

Agartala, 5th November 2024:  In line with the pre-fixed schedule and instructions from the Pradesh Congress, the Bishalgarh District Congress organized a ‘Sanghati Padayatra’ on Tuesday morning. The aim of the walk was to promote a developed, united, secular, and progressive India. The padayatra commenced from the Congress party office adjacent to the Bishalgarh Golaghati bypass and proceeded to Nadilak, Dhwajnagar, and Baidyardighi.

Congress leader Joydip Roy Barman, District Congress President Gopinath Saha, Block Congress President and Congress workers from various areas of the Bishalgarh assembly constituency participated in the march. “The presence of Congress workers in the march was noticeable,” said a participant.

To ensure the smooth completion of the solidarity march, the Bishalgarh police administration deployed CRPF Jowan TSR forces. Bishalgarh Police Station OC Sanjit Sen under the orders of Police Officer Dulal Datta took measures to prevent any political disorder. “We have deployed a large number of CRPS and TSR jawans to maintain peace,” stated OC Sanjit Sen.

The ‘Sanghati Padayatra’ program, which began on October 31, continues in various districts of Tripura. This initiative by the Bishalgarh District Congress is part of the larger program. The Vande Mataram slogans in the Bishalgarh bypass road area today surprised local residents. In the past, minor political clashes occurred during Congress programs in Bishalgarh. However, this time, the Defense Department employees performed their duties diligently to ensure a peaceful march.
